Music is one of the major defining characteristics of the human species and plays an important role in the formation of the culture of each generation. With this realization, the training of musicians today is a vital part of making a difference in the future. At The Green Room, students are inspired to love music and are encouraged to pursue excellence in every area of their musical studies. The individual needs and interests of each student are carefully considered and students are taught on three levels:

intellectual
an understanding of music notation and how the voice is produced or piano is played (technique)

physical
through muscle memory and specific muscle relaxation

emotional/spiritual
through a positive and supportive environment and through releasing emotional blockages
as well as making an emotional connection to the music and content being expressed

Nestled into a peaceful corner of Springer Woods in Edwardsville, IL,
The Green Room provides dedicated musicians with individualized training in
piano, voice and music theory/sightreading and gives students the tools necessary to be educated music consumers for their entire lives. Homeschoolers, traditionally-schooled, and adult students of all ages and backgrounds from all around the world are welcome and encouraged to make music in The Green Room virtually or in-person!
